At the Houston Intercontinental Airport stands several pylons representing the flags of all the countries that visited Houston during the 1990 Economic Summit. They were originally placed in front of the convention center in downtown Houston. After the summit they were moved to the airport and placed in front of the terminal where all the international flights arrive and depart. That is a lot of explanation for a bunch of flags sticking up out of the ground, we just think they look really cool!!
